While he fought in the Secret Wars on another planet, Spider-Man’s original costume was destroyed. An alien machine made this new black costume to replace it. Although it possessed built-in web-shooters and allowed him to change his clothes with but a thought, Spidey was forced to abandon it when he discovered that it was actually an alien symbiote that wanted to take over his body. Since then, he occasionally wears and identical costume that he made from cloth.
